Hi, I’m Rachel

I’m an autistic avid reader and gen-zer with a passion for learning about all things books, history, and religion. As a lifelong Christian, I openly write about my faith and other religious matters through a Christian worldview. My biggest special interest is the history and archaeology of the ancient Near East in the Late Bronze Age and how this relates to events described in the Bible. In terms of fiction, I read a wide variety of genres, but especially love mythology-inspired fantasy novels as well as many classic works.

What I write about

Each month, I post a reading wrap-up where I list every book I read in the last month, rate it on a scale of one to five, and write a review sharing my thoughts. I also do a monthly Bible study, going through a book of the Old Testament chapter by chapter using commentaries to research. Some other types of posts I write are book recommendations, poems, personal life stories, and things to do with the Bible, Christianity, autism, and other issues that interest me.

A few of my favourite things

Standalone Book: Les Miserables by Victor Hugo

Book Series: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson

Bible Translation: CSB

Movie: The Return of the King

TV Show: Avatar: The Last Airbender
